What the Lion is to the Cat the Mastiff is to the Dog, the noblest of the family; he stands alone, and all others sinking before him. His courage does not exceed its temper and generosity and in attachment he equals the kindest of his race. His docility is perfect; the teasing of the smaller kinds will hardly provoke him to resent, and I have seen him down with his paw the terrier or cur that has bit him, without offering further injury. In a family he will permit the children to play with him and will suffer all their little pranks without offence. About Us

We have One Adult looking for her Forever Homes!! We have been raising English Mastiffs puppies for 10 plus years. They are our pride and joy! Our 80 acre Farm is located South of Albia in Southern Iowa just a few miles from Lake Rathbun. We are accompanied by our Loving English Mastiffs Daisy, Allie, and Caesar. Then once or twice a year we have a litter of puppies that we hope to find wonderful forever families! Our dogs are family raised under foot and well socialized by us and our two children who love to play and help out with them all the time!

Dowdy Farms English Mastiffs is a State Licensed Farm.

Each and every one of the puppies encounters all kinds of interesting thing being out on the Farm!  Like cattle, horses, tractors, 4-wheels, deer, turkeys, you name it they get to see it and sometimes play with it!  They are not Kennel Puppies they get to play outside in the fresh air and run around with each other all they want!  Also they get to come in the house and play too!  We love to have the dogs and puppies as close to us at possible!

Our Goal

Here on the Farm our English Mastiffs are family and our pride and joy.  Our goal in breeding is to produce huge, happy, and healthy English Mastiffs of distinct quality. We believe that temperament, health and conformation must be exceptional in every breeding in order to Better the Breed. 

 

We have puppies available typically two times per year with shipping provided throughout the United States and Canada.  Please check back often to see when we have a litter available, prices, and shipping details.    

 

Each Puppy comes with a Puppy Toy, Collar, First Set of Shots, Vet Check Up, One Year Hip/Elbow Health Guarantee, Puppy Packet of Information, Deworming Schedule, Health Records, 8 lb Bag of Food, and Limited or Full AKC Puppy Papers.
